I'm definitely more aware of what is going on in the sky now. Though it does pose some problems, like this morning when I was staring at a bird, trying to figure out what it might be - and holding up all the traffic behind me. Bit of a problem, trying to watch and drive at the same time.   ;D

I have noticed that I am getting our regular vistor on the West nest these days.
Every day she is there. Always looking out in the world. Still think it is Vesper! Bright white chest of course could still be mom!

Think its one of the parents Mother Hen, sorry  :-\  The chicks are brown and gold, no white on them until next spring.  Hopefully it is Princess and that she is reconsidering the location for nesting next year!!!

Thanks for all your observations.
I have not been able to read back but I am glad you are still seeing the kids and that the adults are visible in other areas, as well.

I know I have been come more aware of all around me.
I am even more aware of the hardships of the crow and magpie juveniles as they are taking their first flights.

What a great show Trey gave you, Allikat -- thanks for sharing it! Now that you're more aware of the birds, don't you find yourself wondering what you've missed in the past, just by now looking up? Amazing how an experience like an interest in our falcons can really open your eyes . . . speaking for myself only, of course . . . maybe everybody else has been more observant all along . . . ;)

You're welcome Helen...
This isn't the first time I've seen the falcons come into that area....it's just really cool to see them come into a residential area and to be able to see them and realize that it is in fact a peregrine falcon.  No one else even looks up or realizes it....so, it's kinda cool for me.  I'm just sayin'  :D

Well....this is an out of the ordinary post about observing our falcon family....

I was visiting my folks this evening and as we were sitting on the deck sipping wine after our meal, I looked up and saw Trey coming in...most likely for the last meal of the night.  He was chasing a crow and he was not at all happy about what this crow did or perhaps just not at all happy that this crow was there and it annoyed him.  It was a sight.  The neighborhood was very quiet.  Keep in mind folks that all day every day, you hear chickadees, finches, woodpeckers, robins, blue-jays, nut-hatches, goldfinches, cedar waxwings, wrens, kestrels and every kind of sparrow.
He chased the crow around the area then into a tree.  Then Trey left.  I was watching to see what would happen next because all of a sudden, there were four crows instead of one.  So needless to say, I was watching closely to make sure our Rockstar flew off.  The crows kept a watchful eye(s) as well but after a couple of minutes, it was over and everything was back to normal.
I've witnessed this before in this area and it's wonderful.....Just wanted to share it.

Thanks for that report B...You were at the right place at the right time!
Thanks Alli, it's worth all the empty checks to have one like that. It's still in my head. ;D

NICE one b.  Thanks for that report!! I would have that in my head for a very long time.  I'm hoping I get to see something today when I go check on our kids after work.

You know, that opening is just tooooooo easy!  ;)  And, to be honest, I wouldn't for a minute use this to make a joke. Seriously, B, you've seen some amazing sights while you've been doing air quality checks, and I for one do appreciate hearing about them.
