Yes, indeed, thanks for ALL the work you do to ensure the survival of peregrine falcons in our country, TPC!

Just curious.  How windy is too windy to go up?   ???

Light winds are up to 20km/h - but less is always better.  And the folks at DA Matthews wouldn't take us up if they thought the wind was hinky - too strong, too gusty, wrong direction ...

This may be a stupid question, but do they stop/reroute traffic so there are no accidents from curious on lookers?

Nope, open season on the street when we use a swing-stage.  When we used the crane in 2006 we had to get a permit and block off two lanes of traffic, fortunately not banding during rush hour that year!!

okey dokey guys, part three will be tomorrow. Kinda pooped right now, lots of sun, lots of excitment LOTS of postings. And I may just have to move to a far-away land cause of the exposure today.
You all have the advantage, cause you watched it. Wish I could have, but everything is a trade off, and I think I did very well today. ( but if anyone has a copy, I might be persuaded to make it worth your while.)
TPC, did you have a hand in this??? I'm thinkin so :P

We saw at the one banding how on of the crew got a bit of a scratch from the adult falcon. But he continues to go up. I cannot remember what site that was on . anyone???
I was at our banding last year and the it was awesome being up on the roof  with  the adults swooping and cacking. I stood way back though and we had more space than Tracy had today.
