One chick has discovered you can sit on the storm drain and watch traffic.

I most likely won't have access to a computer for the next week.  I'm thanking everyone in advance for your always detailed account of the days happenings.  I look forward to catching up with you all and with our chicks.  I sure will miss them. :'( (and you of course). Hope everyone has a nice week. :-*

No one is asleep but all seem very content....two by the drain and one at 6 o'clock.

Tracy you better get Smith and Portage closed to all traffic and get the nets ready.

Still have a week, ten days before they should be baked enough for fledging ....

I've been around since 2007 but how did the last fledging from this site in 2006
happen? Did they hang around the ledge at night?

Now it's Trey watching out for the little ones -- he's sitting on the point of the ledge, just looking out over the traffic and the chicks are settled in their different ledge areas, not paying any attention at all to Trey. So obviously he came without food!

Great close-ups. Tuned in to seeone chick close up working on lunch.  Otheres no doubt fed already.  No competition, anyway.  Later I could see one with his mouth open for longer than I would have thought if he was making a noise - not sure - noise?  cooling off(seems unlikely)
I'll have to get to a site where I can hear peregrines.

They are so curious.  They're just sitting watching the world go by, wondering,  what are those bipeds doing down there???

I caught part of that feeding ritual, but the best part was seeing Princess standing guard on the ledge, just above the sleeping chicks. She's truly a beautiful and impressive bird.

1220 hrs (local) - LUNCH TIME  :o

Trey came in with food, Princess relieved him of it, he took off.  Female chick came through and grabbed it and ran off.  Male chicks not really interested at first.  Then male chick 1 made a run at Mom, she ran away and relieved female chick of food and began feeding said little girl.  Male chick 1 came in for food as well.  Male chick 2 still napping by the wall.  Female chick ran to male chick 2 who is awake but not much interested.  Small meal for these guys Mom is of by 1223 hrs.

I can help "fledge watch" too if persons are required, but I don't want to get in the way.  I have a scooter...it may be useful/ideal for following little ones about.  ???
