Willmax, thank you for the map with the fledge  flight directions.

Phenomenal spotting and reporting from the ground and camera!  Today has been dramatic, exciting and very entertaining.

Love that Trey is flaunting possession of the dome.  That should motivate our big girl to return home.

You mean I will have to move away from my computer screen and go downtown to see all the action from now on?? I can't imagine the camera being able to catch all of the moving action.

They may use it awhile longer but as they get more proficient with their flying they will move further away.
The parentsi will start having them chase them for ther food . the kids will play in the air and the adults will teach them the fine art of hunting. It is  just fascinating to watch.
But you are always holding your breath.

This is my first time witnessing the fledgling process. I started watching last year, but it didn't get that far. It's funny how up to this point, everything is pretty much a regular routine. Regular feedings, poop shots, etc...
But once they fledge, nothing's routine anymore. Seems like the chicks are all on their own schedules. I gues it's not much different with humans. Anyone out there want to chime in as to what to expect now? I'm assuming they will still be using the nest ledge as a home base.

thanks all for the great updates - I had to be away from my computer at the WORST time.  ::)  It's nice to know she made it out safely.  Now the fun begins - hunting lessons!

Hi y'all. Little girl is well and drawing big crowds on the sidewalk. She's looking right down into the back lane between my office and the St. Regis hotel.
Big huge thanks to Deb52, Irenekl and msdolittle for the legwork and the spotting. Not only of our girl, but the boys who are in an entirely differrent spot.
Quite a day for everyone, and it isn't over yet ;D ;D
Thanks B for the update...I wonder if Little Miss will try to fly back tonight and give me a heart attack.

I guess he figures it's safe to sit there now, nobody chasing him off. ;D

Yep.  He's sitting on the drain cover now. Hasn't seen him there for a while.

No, that's perfectly clear. I missed that you were referring to the posted image when you said the "f logo". I was trying to picture some actual sign or something with a real "F" that she flew through.
The second map with the arrows shows it pretty clearly for those who are not familiar with Winnipeg.
Thanks for posting.

Too bad Google has not uploaded their street views of Wpg. as yet.
Then we might see some of the fledge watchers on duty. LOL

Or maybe not in March.
