Egg to fledge is about 25 days

feathers, smeathers ... check out her beak and compare it to Mom's .... it is going to get vewy, vewy dangerous for Mom in that nest soon ... like kissing a porcupine!!   :D

California has been having some bad weather of late has it not?  If they did, that could very well have been a contributing factor, particularly since the chicks are so small and so too are the parents ....

Is this the female (or nest) that had 3 or 4 clutches last year?  I can't remember ....  ???

Sad news from this site too -- it seems that on January 25, little Storm stopped moving, and only Sassy has survived.
