Woo Hoo!  ;D Finally have webcam viewing here at school, after several days of not being able to see anything at all but a black screen! (Yes, I'm still at school! ::) :P) ... Anyhoo, I can only see 3 chicks. Is the 4th one sitting outside on the ledge? :-\

Is one of the males hidden by the fluffy female? I'm only able to distinguish 3 :o

The two females are sitting side by side along the left edge of the nestbox ... the males are beside one another furthe rto the right but visible.

1951 hrs (local) - our little ledge edge sitting male is getting very comfortable on the edge, he's been grooming with on the edge with his eyes closed!!

And confirmation, ledge sitter is our white banded male.

I don't know if I can keep watching.  Too many heart stopping moments.  Three were on the edge of the nest box bery close together and then one decide to come down and just steps on the other.  Wings are flapping and they are so close to the edge.  I am freaking out and talking to my computer.
They seem to have quietened down a bit now.  One seems to be sqwaking a lot.   Now he/she is sitting on the edge flapping like crazy.  Oh I can't take this anymore.

For the last number of years that I have watched these beautiful birds from eggs to fledging, This part of them getting brave and jumping up on the ledge ALWAYS makes me nervous :o. Then once they fledge for the first time my heart skips a few beats♥. But I sure get excited once they accomplish what they are supposed to :D Then I just miss them so much when they don't come back to the nest  :'(  Once a phanatic always a phanatic

Terry McLeod (CBC 89.3) mentioned the Falcon Cam this morning at about 6:35.
Yes, I did hear that too, Jo. I like his morning show alot. And it's nice that he is promoting the FalconCam. :D But I'm thinking that maybe we need to phone and let him know that while he has perfect webcam streaming down there at the CBC, it is not like that for the rest of us out here in the real world.  :( And the Kinderchicklets have had absolutely no webcam streaming for a few days now. :'(

1741 hrs (local) - all four chicks "outside".  If I were to hazard a guess, I think dinner might be imminent ... it will be interesting to see who steals dinner this time ...

1739 hrs (local) - and that wingercizing is how chicks fledge sometimes ... not this time however.  The chicks hang on to the edge of the box while they flap - and their feet are very strong.  When you see them hanging their wings down its usually a sign that they are tired/heavy, in other words their wing muscles still need some building up, they don't have as much strength as you might thing.  We should see the flapping getting longer and longer over the next couple of days.

1737 hrs (local) - two males and one female out at the front edge of the box.  Last female is napping inside the box.

One of the males is sitting on the edge - White if I'm not mistaken - same chick as earlier today.

One chick was lying down right against the ledge - I couldn't tell for sure whether it was part of a snack or one of the chicks because it was quite flattened out - but then it stood up. All four easier to see now.

Am I seeing only 3 chics I keep looking and think I am seeing things but I only see 3 chics?

Seeing things I'm afraid  ;)  Two chicks outside, two chicks inside along the back corner & in the corner in the shade.
