Hello all;
I'm a new forum member but have been reading every Manitoba thread all season.  I've also been an avid watcher of the web cam for three years.

Yesterday I decided to join this group because I want to thank all of you for the accurate information you provide.  The comments on the CBC site are okay but there is almost as much bickering as information.

So - for the information, commentary, photos, web stills etc etc etc - Thankyou everyone! ;D

They seem to always be spread out in their own sections most of the time, is this normally how peregrines are? I can't imagine how big the nest would have to be if they were not in this man made one or is it the approximate size they would make?

Lots of cliff nests are smaller than this but they have lots of nooks and crannies and rocks and juts for the chicks to perch on.  In a way we probably give them fewer things to sit on right at the nestsite but more in the general vicinity.

Is there a time of day that chicks usually fledge? eg. morning vs evening?

It can be anytime, but mornings are very popular since the weather tends to be calmer earlier in the day

Looks like a lot of potential snacks in the box. What a mess! Any chance Heidi could be conscripted to shovel out the box?  ;D

Nope, we go anywhere near the nestbox and we will have chicks jumping, fully baked or not ...

Just signed on 5 min ago and have the usual stutter but did get on the first try. Had to refresh several times last evening and earlier today before I got a picture. I find emptying out my cache seems to help.  ???
All just sitting looking "out there" Maybe waiting for a snack  :D

Two casually sitting up on the ledge and the others having breakfast. And one just finished with the food and is doing some wingersizing.

Two on the ledge, one decided to have a little scratch, wobbled a bit and quickly realized that this is not the place to groom. ;D ;D

Chicks are all eating at different areas of the nest. Leftovers, I guess. Yum!  :P They seem to have grown overnight. TPC, approximately what is their wingspan?

Just starting to get light now, how many will be on the edge of the ledge today?

Are you all ready to watch.  :-* :-*

Well it looks like all the wingersizing tired them out.  I see no silhouettes of them tonight.
