Radisson - 2010 / Ivy & Princess

Where were you Kinderchick?   I was there from 11am to 11:40am in front of MTS Centre....Saw some kids in & out of the box a bit but nothing else..

I was around that area, ballywing. Kept circling around, across the street, in front of the MTS building, etc. Were you on a lunch break? I kept looking for fledgewatchers. Did you have binoculars? I was wearing a green jacket and had a red backpack. And of course, was sporting some binocs around my neck. Sorry I missed you. I think it was about that time I was across the street, having a smokie dog with the RCMP officer.

Spent several hours downtown this morning (btw. 10:00 & 12:00). Saw 1 of the parents putting on an ariel performance, which I had never seen before. Also saw 1 chick sticking his/her head out of the nestbox and another chick sitting half way down the nestledge, just outside and under the nestbox. Just before leaving the downtown, I saw 1 chick wingersizing on the edge of the nestbox... Looked for other fledgewatchers but didn't see anyone looking up, with or without binoculars! Did talk to an RCMP officer, who had stopped across the street for a smokie dog lunch and was wondering what I was looking at. Told him all about the nestbox and the Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project and he seemed quite interested. He asked me alot of questions about the birds and when he left, he thanked me for explaining things to him. Said that he just learned alot about peregrine falcons that he never knew before. So next time he "walks the beat", he's going to look up!

Air quality check 2

Walking to the restaurant, I spotted two adults ( you were right Pam ) on the M of the Manitoba Hydro bldg. This building is 3 blocks west of the Radisson and also very high. Princess was on the left top of the M and Ivy on the right. I got some pictures that I'll send to Tracy and if they're any good, she might post them.
I doubt that the fledgers would fly into the glass, there's lots of small windows that break up the design, so the birds would not see it as open sky.

Walking to the restaurant, I spotted two adults ( you were right Pam ) on the M of the Manitoba Hydro bldg. This building is 3 blocks west of the Radisson and also very high. Princess was on the left top of the M and Ivy on the right. I got some pictures that I'll send to Tracy and if they're any good, she might post them.
I doubt that the fledgers would fly into the glass, there's lots of small windows that break up the design, so the birds would not see it as open sky.

I'll be coming downtown around 6:30ish to watch for an hour or two, I will have a camera and binoculars.

hi all!  I know I haven't been around much on the forum (hardly at all) but I have kept up with stuff (and thanks dennis for the pictures!).

The cam is finally working for me so it's nice to be able to see all four right now.

Mom & Dad still on the Hydro sign, perfect vantage point for them.  They can see much better from there than they can from their perches on the tower!

Awwww that is so cute to see the little one just woke up the other one for some attention I can't say what the other one looked like she was sayinf back to her lol.
