Just wondering how many are at home for the night?  There is one on the left side of the edge, another on the right, and occasionally wings flapping closer to the lens.

Pam, that was a great shot of the Radisson sign, the nest box and the ledge.  I love that we can see Aura there.

Well, after I posted the pic, I thought how undignified she looked.  :(  So I modified the photo.  :D

Yea, uh, new bug shows it's ugly head.  I tested this thing in the shop for a few days, and it was very happy, and worked fine.  Out there in the real world however, things tend to get a lil' bit fussy.  Workin on the bug, looking for the Raid.  Maybe on to plan 3.... :-\ :-[ :-\

Yes Tracy, ES fixed the camera.   Look what I can do...I can switch it here (the box) or here (the ledge) or here (overhead cam) or here (stripey colored tv barcode).....ummm you are doing that aren't you?  Or have the cameras gone squirrelly? ???

Cameras were rotating between views about every 10 seconds for about 5 minutes or so.  Seems to have stopped now.

Hello Everyone, I'm new to posting on the forum, though I have been reading it for about 3 years now. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the great job in allowing us to view and watch these beautiful birds grow and survive and come back every year.

This year I got very interested more then ever, so my husband and I went out and bought binoculars the other day. We would be on the Fledge Watch, but we decided not to be because of medical reasons. We do however make trips to the Radisson Hotel when we leave the house for appointments and such. We live downtown at the Legislature so its not that hard for us to do.

If you ever see a fellow in a rather sizable black electric wheelchair, with a woman dressed in black with binoculars looking up, that would be us.

I can't see who is who with my binoculars but I can see most detail up there. If you want updates from us, I can do that. But by the looks of things, you guys have alot of the stuff covered... LOL

So, keep up the good work everyone and maybe we'll catch one of you downtown one day...  :)

Yours: Vivianne

we will keep our eyes open for you folks!

Thought it would be nice to have the "Radisson" name in there!

For those o/side of Winnipeg, this is what the nestbox and ledge look like, with Aura on the ledge:

Has there ever been a time when a chick did nto fledge.  If so what happens or do the parents start to tempt the youngen out.

Chicks always fledge, no worries there.  Males fledge first because they are smaller, females fledge later because they are bigger and need more time to grow/develop enough.  Females can take up to 7-10 to fledge after males - all depends on the bird.  Don't worry, Aura is developing nicely and she'll be flying soon enough.
