So far so good.  Mackenzie still not wanting to leave the ledge after his escapades, Elena on top of building just getting fed a few minutes ago and Perry flying like a champ.

We just saw Jack (dad) put on a heck of a show.  There is barely a ripple of wind today and yet he was up there in the air doing corkscrews - Mark said he counted 31 by the time I got there and he kept on going doing over 50 easily without flapping his wings once.  He said in all his years of watching peregrines he has never seen one do that many without flapping ever!  He jsut kept climbing and climbing and climbing and his dive back down was freaken awesome...like a rocket!!

Must be something in the pigeons out in Mississauga  ;)

Hey Carly, how are your guys doing?  I checked the webcam and it appears to be working again with one juvenile lying down in the nestbox.

Lara, born 2006 at the Sun Life nest in Etobicoke, and her mate Rocky, the last son of Buckeye of Hilliard Road Bridge, laid a second clutch of eggs this year. The first clutch failed.

According to Chad and Chris, they believe that there is now a hatch.

Yes cam is frozen again.  One boy is on the ledge, no idea where other one is at the moment as he's flying around and wee girl is still in a safe place. They probably won't put her back up til tonight so she can calm down.  If they put her up in daylight she will panic and try to fly and may come down again.

Is the Etobicoke picture frozen again?  There are 2 birds and they appear to be in the same position as early this morning.

Way to go Elena! Glad to hear that she was rescued and unhurt.  Just another example of the importance of the fledge watch in these urban settings. Kudos to the team. 8)

Elena fledged this morning and came down to the ground shortly thereafter - she's a big girl!!.  She is not hurt just a bit shocked at not being able to stay up and she was rescued by watcher Diana and is now all comfy waiting in her little cushy carrier to be put up on the roof later on today.

Well all the history I now tried to figure out is not quite accurate, well after 2005/2006 anyway, because Jack is the male here, no idea when he got here..but here's the interesting part.

His mom was never identified as far as I can find in the archives but his dad -  Sal is Madame X and Percy's son in Hamilton born in 2001.  Surge was born here to Angel and then Marco who was here back in 2002, which is in the archives.  And now Surge is in Hamilton paired with Jack's grandmother.

It somehow always go back to the Hamilton site!  You could get a headache trying to sort all this out..I give up.  From now on, all PF's are related as far as I'm concerned!

I got the correct spellings/names today of the Etobicoke three, that Mark comes in handy! They are Elena (female), Perry (male) and Mackenzie (male) - so I messed up the females name but I was close  :P.  Mac is the one who was stuck in the tree and rescued today...

He is back on the roof and parents didn't seem to have a clue who he was *sigh*.  Poor guy was starving and begging for food and they just looked at him like didn't we just feed you.  Finally an hour later, Perry flies up onto the roof and runs right for him and they do the beak touch and cuddle and you could actually see the realization hit the parents..uh oh...crap go get food, it's our lost boy come home!!!  Too funny!
