We haven't abandonned this idea, but logistics of printing and production are a bit more convoluted and expensive than we had hoped.  We continue to explore new ideas and hopefully we will be able to offer a book before much longer!

So are you considering the idea seriously?  Be great to have the Manitoba/radisson pair in a book!!

Yes, we are considering the idea seriously.  I will track down information on quality binding.  Dennis & I will get together and see what we might be able to formulate in terms of a narrative and what kind of photos.  We typically do this over a meal since it comes with a table that we can use for notes, hence the bison burger comment  :D

Count me in for at least two books! And, if they're not ready for this Christmas, there are many other Christmases and birthdays after that . . .

Me too, Cammie. All the old folk on my list get gift certificates or donations in their name but the dang twentysomethings never seem to get me their lists until December 15. Next year the all get a Peregrine Falcon book! (Valiant attempt to get BOT)

hey i do the same.. all the jealous shopper/haters just WISH they were so organized.. personally i greatly dislike  ( hate) the pushy shove-y christmas crowds and generally refuse to set foot in a mall after november.. i wrap as i buy to keep the chore down ( tg for gift bags and baskets,) and keep a list so i don't over spend when those special things pop up .

actually, I usually have all the shopping done by the end of summer (save for something really neat that wanders in or stuff for the niece and nephew as I don't get those requests in time).  And it's generally all wrapped by Thanksgiving.

My family is really annoyed by that.  it's my gift to me.  ;)

Then again, I keep a color-coded spreadsheet to track my gift buying.  So, my OCD is showing.   :P

I'll buy one. Can I get it autographed by Tupper?
Just an X or scratch will do.

Might be tough, though he might be in the book - he's very happy to be photographed - by me today and Radisson's Asst GM!!

I would buy a book or tell my friends and family what I want for a gift.  They all say I am so hard to buy for.
So one way or another...I would have that book.

We could even set up a booth along the sidewalk when the falcons are arriving or nesting.  Maybe get a telescope and set it up for people to view,  Of course donations accepted.

I would buy a book as well as help with fundraising.

Thank You so much for sharing your gift of photography Dennis. It is very much appreciated! Wonderful pictures as usual from you.
I'm wondering, Dennis, if you have thought of creating a book of your photography of falcons or perhaps manitoba birds of prey??  photos with captions only, or as part of a study of the birds.  I think it would be absolutely terrific!!

Nuts, Des, I was going to chat with Dennis about that tomorrow on our 5 hour rides!!! Just kidding, but I really was going to propose it on the trip to/from Brandon tomorrow - wonderful timing or great minds Des!

So Dennis, Prairie Peregrines - photos by Dennis Swayze, occasional text by TPC ?
I would buy an autographed copy  :D
perhaps more fundraising for the falcons or some of the proceeds to go to the peregrine recovery project?

What a GREAT, idea, des! I, for one, would certainly buy it! And maybe we could hike up the price a bit, so it could also be a bit of a fund-raiser for the Project! ;D Just thinking out loud, Dennis! ;) BOT, not too much happening on the nestledge at present. All are chillin' and accounted for!
