lol yup George was showing the rental agreement !
How do you know it was George?  Is there also a way to tell male and female ravens from one another?

Apparently the male raven is larger than the female (unlike in the falcon world) and he's a big dude!  I can't watch the cam anymore, got my hand slapped for using too much bandwith keeping my cams open.

Keep me posted if anything happens!

As stressful as this is for all of us, I think it must be much worse for the ravens - all this activity around not just their first nest, but their second - after all the work they put into this, I do feel for them.

He's in the very right hand side, he's still there

Same guy as yesterday I think, they may actually be doing maintenance.  George was just on the top of the box showing us his rental agreement  ;D

Just browsing through this morning.

I have no comment that is acceptable here.  I did not make it to see if anyone returned yesterday but I am thinking not.
will try to go down today but I will not be on the cam today.

It's a tough situation either way around allikat.  Even without the Ravens, we would still potentially have 2 females coming home, both of whom think it's their nest box so there will be angst either way.  And who knows, some other young peregrine may just decide it's a nice place with a good view and give it a go as well - as last year there were 3 females vying for the box.

Only time will tell now as the Ravens have pretty much moved in and as far as they're concerned it was vacant and they've paid their rent and fixed the place up.

I read the homepage of the Alberta webcam site today.  I had to read it again and then again.
All of you who have been on this site, should know what that page is all about.

The one phrase that really got to me (taken from the homepage) is:  "The Peregrine Webcam Project is a valuable project preserving and appreciating urban wildlife species. It is an important component to campus sustainability because it creates awareness of endangered species that exist within our immediate environments, as well as bringing diverse network of community stakeholders together to talk about issues of sustainability."

I don't want the ravens or the peregines to be harmed or injured in any way!  I just don't know what else to say!

So....I'm guessing that no one is going to dismantle George and Weezie's (great names by the way  ;) ) nest??
If anyone is going to do it again, they better get their, you know what's, up there, as this nest is looking pretty comfy for Mrs. Raven.
I can honestly say, I don't know if I can watch this cam anymore until I know the dust cloud has cleared!  I've seen too many disputes this year and I do not want to see one more!
I'm not saying it's going to happen  :-X, but with news that one is on her way home, just can't think about it.
I'm still hoping for a happy ending for all birds  :D
