cause they are 'moving on up to a dee-lux apartment in the sky'  ( theme from the jeffersons tv show)

seemed appropriate at the time.. lol

Those are great names ... suits them!  Quite the nest they got there.

Maybe they are maintenance guys, I expect this is probably the only chance they'd get to do any work nearby on windows and such without the faloncs dive bombing them.

Just saw a man's head also.

And a big raven.  Honestly the Raven is bigger than that man's head.

Raven in the nest box, briefly, and left.
The man I saw may be different from the one this morning.  Definitely graying hair, not long, and no mustache, sunglasses and light blue shirt.
He hasn't been back since the raven left.

Male head (human) appeared briefly, protected only with sunglasses!  Something might be going on, at last.

....sigh.....I was hoping we wouldn't be having this kind of anxiety & fretting, especially so soon in the season -but I guess that's nature for you!  :-\

Now that there is some indication that the Alberta birds are starting to make their way back (and if one is, its reasonable to assume that all that are, are too) that makes it easier for the project to implement a course of action.

As for the ravens, this kind of thing happens in the wild too.  Birds lose their nests all the time.  Sometimes its a the nest stage like these birds, sometimes its actual eggs and/or chicks that are lost.  If they should abandon nesting this year, it just means they will be in even better form for next year.  I suspect, based on their tenacity to date, that they will nest somewhere.  I'll be interested in how long they will stick with this site before moving along.

I have been saying nothing because what ever the outcome it is a no win situation.

There were 2 men there this morning and then went down. I am not sure what is happening. I do have pictures, Maggie so no one will think you are hallucinating. they are not biologists. At least not the 6 I know form this site. One I knew as the head maintenance man, I believe.

the ravens have been vocal most of the morning so far, so  I have a suspicion that maybe someone flew home.   I have not seen anyone at the box but...

they could just be upset becasue of the men there also, but... If I have time I will take a scoot down there.  On Cam one you can see a bit of the white structure that I was talking about on the right.

but I just got word that my transmitter girl started her journey home on April 4-5.  Now that is drama enough,.  what will await her. ::) ::) :o :o
