I'm noticing the brown color coming out on the youngster just below their mustache.

Well at least  now I can watch for a while I couldn't watch any cams, the media player seemed to have a hiccup.  Right now I've been watch the youngsters. Seems it is the male doing a long of wing flapping and one of his siblings seemed to screeched at him, "Knock it off will ya!"

I can't stand to watch!  lol.. really though, heart pounding.   I want to yet I don't.  I jsut peek every now and then.. I am the kind of person who loves thriller novels and all that but watch a scary movie or thrriler movie and I am all slinked down, peeking between the fingers that I have over my eyes! Don't want to miss a thing, and don't, but think that putting my hand over my face is going to stop it!  On here I have several windows open when watching and when someone gets too close to the ledge or when someone is getting left out of being fed and stuff, I find myself flipping windows real fast! I can't jump in and fix it , so I can't stand to sit and watch helplessly.   Then I keep going back and checkin every few seconds.  One thing I can say good about the new Vista is that you can flip back and forth pretty good.  lol

The adventurous one appears to have less down on its back than the other two.  Is that the male since they usually fledge before the females?

that was a bit of a fright! watched that one chick tentatively check out the far side of the ledge, stand on it with a bit of a wobble, move back in the box to the closest edge, again stand on the ledge and back to the far side and up again! I think he/she loved the new view, peering around the far corner and bobbing the head. I guess we're in for a lot more of these daring acts before actual fledge. eeeek!

I think it's a parking lot right below (go into archived pix below under banding which shows them going up to get the chicks).  Ohhh, a scratch, it's on one talon and very balanced.  I wish that blob of poop wasn't there on the camera.    :)

yikes, scary to see that chick sitting on the edge like that!  I wonder if there is some kind of ledge out there - hope so!

It's now standing right on the edge while the other two are passed out.  I think it's going to venture out.

One chick is getting the itch, has both talons on the edge of the nestbox and flapping.  "Sigh"...they can't stay forever.   :(

It seems like the dad has to sneak in to drop off food which one of the chicks just yanked it from him.  It was about 2 seconds before the mom showed up and dad quickly took off with his tail between his talons.   :)

Nice to see the other two going after the one who grabbed the food; all three getting fed.

Morning snack time - one grabbed it and went for the corner but the others were having none of that.  Now it's three way tug-of-war!   ;D

Yeah I checked earlier and all 3 were flaked out in the nestbox.

Yeah, this mum is amazingly territorial!  You'd think dad had nothing to do with it.  Maybe they're not a couple (he's just an intruder), and she went to a sperm bank!  lol   :D

The mom is sort of mean to the dad too.  Not really letting him near the kids very much (unlike Princess).  Just wants him to "bring home the bacon".   :)

Heh..I noticed the same thing and thought oh maybe their voices are changing as they grow up!  Honestly our web cam never had sound so all I'd ever heard from the ground was the adults until I discovered this web cam so I wouldn't know the difference.  I can hear our falcons from 18 stories down ( not when they were babies of course) but honestly I can't tell the differnece in the voices but I bet Tracy could or someone else who spends alot of time with them.

One of the women I falcon watched with has been monitoring falcons for 10 years and says our female mom sounds demented..lol..I asked what she meant by that and she said her call is not normal and sounds more like a hawk with a cold!
