I heard that knocking too Allikat and Lightning looked over this way at the camera when she heard it. Maybe Chase was biting on the side if he is still on that lower ledge or maybe from the top where the parents sit.
She frequently would hold that foot up and curl up her talons - I've commented on that before... I wonder if the bands bother her...

I noticed that as well...let's hope she didn't injure herself  
Maybe she will decide to call it a night. . .but I'm not sure, she sure is leaning a lot...oh no more wing stretches!!!!

Things have quietened down now. She is sure busy preening herself. 
She does seem quite bothered with that one food tho.
I just wish she would get in the nest box so I can relax.
Before I thought she slept too much.  Now I just want her to lay down.
This is like last year when Missy was alone in the box.  I could not stop watching her.  She made my heart stop so many times.

never noticed that knocking. Too wound up. lol..  That foot is really bothering her,, supposed she injured it out on the rail?

I'm not sure of the sound....it just sounds like knocking...its not happening now but it was a couple of minutes ago!

there has been what sounds like one or two (Chase and Bullet) perhaps?  squawking for a long time way off.  Heard that 1/2 hour or longer before Lightning decided to get out on the bar.. She was looking down, and real concerned and I think that is why she got out there finally to see what was going on.  It that the sound you are talking about? 
Now the sound I am hearing must be from machines, cause a falcon could not squawk that steady for that long I dont think?

It almost sounds like her brother is knocking on the side of the nestbox or something!!!

man, watching for days, go out for a few hours and all heck breaks loose! I opened the cam to see an empty nest   then, hear screeching and pop! there she is - don't leave Lightning, I need a few more fluffy feathers to finish my pillow!!

you would think Mom or Dad would have come by and gave her a treat or something!!  Bedtime snack..  reward for getting out there and back in!

get off that ledge and quit preening and twisting around on one foot you crazy girl.. I want to relax and enjoy my drink with my phanatic friends. It is past curfew anyhow.. get to bed!!  lol

Your right, lots to look forward to.  But it's hard not to get attached after watching her from a small little fluffball.

That a girl...even though you've been jumbing back and forth, you go when you're good and ready!  Sounds to me like your siblings are just trying to encourage you....

Is that her in the corner.  There is white down feathers blowing in the wind.  
That is here isn't it.  She is back.
Go and lay down and sleep.  My nerves can't take anymor of this.

you and I are so on the same page.. I am NOT enjoying this.. its is so nerve racking... I am trying to laugh and relax myself a bit,,  but I get so attached.  My cats think I am nuts, I have been jumping off the couch and just screaming myself..!!
