ditto..loulou, got mom up on the screen now.  No worries about if a hatch had started, mom sometimes helps them along by pushing the shell away from them.  The parents also keep them quiet warm, the eggs are in direct contact with her brood patch and will come out warm and stay warm.  Ours hatched in cold weather as well, around zero degrees and they were just fine.  It just means we won't see much of them as they will keep them covered constantly so they aren't exposed to the cold air. I'm not sure if there is a 'time' limit on them, that would be a question for TPC.

The light can play tricks on us, many times I've yelled hatch ..only for it to be the underwing of the falcons feathers or the light dancing on an egg making it look like it's hatching.  I saw the eggs a few minutes ago, now keep in mind I'm still on first coffee but they looked in tact to me, the other day though I thought I saw pips...so you aren't going crazy....

early Sunday morning and I just got a look at the eggs, no action... ???

I was sure I saw a hole yesterday, could the cold temps affect the progress and is there a period of time that a chick must emerge once it has started? I got up early as I thought I'd get a nice surprise but no such luck and now I'm bewildered

I really don't like this cam angle. Everything is  completely dark. The light shining on the birds' faces wasn't great either, but for a while they had it down, but you could see some in the nestbox. Now there's absolutely nothing!

I guess we'll have to wait til sunrise.  I sure won't be up then, but I know someone will!  Hope there's a chick to report!  l

I think I heard a little chirp or two as well. Can't see anything now they are in shadow.

She's doing a bit of nest cleaning and shuffling around a bit. She's offering glimpses, but still no good view of all the eggs together.

And after all the excitement about a possible chick, she's gone right back to sleep and won't show us a thing!

I thought I saw something white under her right wing (our left) when she stood up.  Maybe it was her leg.  I had it full zoom, so it's kinda blurry.  Sorry, folks!  Having said that, I muted the boob tube and cranked up the volume on the site, and thought I could hear peeping.  (Nope, all's quiet out the window!)  Or maybe it's a very soft chirp, like she's talking to the eggs.  Now that's a good sign!   :)
