Yup, I miss having the chicks to watch all summer  , but maybe Princess has officially retired from all that business - she sure deserves a break. I guess we'll see what happens / who shows up next year.

I agree, Bally!  Was thinking the same thing as the water poured down and the wind blew like crazy.  It's nice for Princess to have time-off, I think.  Lovely of her to return to the city where she's successfully raised so many healthy offspring and just fly around, eating and preening and playing with Pip.

Can't help but think if there were chicks on the East Ledge last night, they woulda been toast. - Yikes.

Wow, somebirdie (Pip)? has been sitting on the edge of the nest all afternoon!    .....oops never mind, my screen was stuck on 4 hours ago for some reason.

    I'm beginning to lose hope that there will be eggs/chicks this season.

Maybe she knows some eggs are on the way?  ....hoping against hope at this point.

No kidding -  - Just as we're about to give up on chicks for these 2, they start acting like there's lots of action going on in the nest! - I wonder how late is 'too late' for this year.

Any updates to share TPC? 

No idea what will happen here.  As time ticks along I think they won't nest then, like today, they bounce in an out of the nest all day and evening.  Today Princess spent more than an hour in the nestbox hoovering and playing with the scrapes.  Pip did the same thing when Princess was away from the box.  Does that mean anything? Who knows at this point ... might be just going through the hormonal motions or maybe they will surprise us all.  Tonight Princess is parked on the edge of the nestbox sound asleep, head under wing.

They're really keeping us in suspense, which is actually quite interesting ... though also a good chance for a break.
