...this was posted on the utah govt site:

WANTED: We need volunteers to help monitor and rescue young-of-the-year peregrine falcons during their flight training period.

When & Where: The flight training period could begin as early as July 4. If you'd like to help, please join us for Salt Lake City peregrine falcon field trip and volunteer orientation meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. We will meet just east of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, which is south of the tall Church Office Building

...and, i was just looking in at the chicks on Camera 2, they are all sitting in the sheltered portion of the box, out of the hot sun;  I can't really distinguish any real size differences between them, although one does appear a little bit smaller than the others, but it also seems to have more down left than the others - the last hatch, perhaps?

I am not very good at "sleuthing" so therefore I did not find out anything about banding at Salt Lake City.  Sounds like their chicks should fledge about a week after ours here at the Radisson.

Would these chicks have been banded by now?  Looks like one female for sure and possibly two!! ???  Will check BCAW and see if there is any info there. ::)

...parents providing lots of food to these four; saw two feedings this morning, one after the other, and one parent brought in a third food package even as the chicks were being fed the second one;  after a minute of discussion, said parent took food package away - stashed for later, perhaps?  These chicks are getting big, darker feathers beginning to peek through - I love this stage, with the still almost all white, but the dark patches showing over the eyes.  They look like incredibly awkward bandits... :D

...i think they scare themselves sometimes - feeding is over, mom has left, and the chicks look stunned, and exhausted... :D

You can also see the people down below on the street and can even hear people talking. I wonder if the mike is picking up voices from inside the building or from outside? ???
I had noticed this also and was wondering the same thing. ???

This is a great webcam, MayShowers. :) I was just watching a cute little chickpile. You can also see the people down below on the street and can even hear people talking. I wonder if the mike is picking up voices from inside the building or from outside? ???

I can't watch the Radisson or Brandon camera during the day, so I get my chick fix here.  I just watched mom feed the chicks.  It was amazing to watch how she made sure everyone was stuffed before she left them in a big satisfied chick pile.  :)  She kept offering until none of their tiny beaks would open to take any more.  :D They look so cute now huddled in one big circle with their heads in the middle.

Four chicks splayed on the floor of the nest with Mom/Dad watching over them.   Mom/Dad tried to forcefully roll one of them under the wings but he/she would have none of that.  Independence already ;D

and it's lunch time, except for one poor little chick in the corner.  It reminds me of when you are punished and have to sit in the corner. :o

...well, that chick (if it's the oldest) is 9 days old, so maybe he'll survive the stupidity (mom covered him for about 10 minutes or so, now is back over the other chicks) - wow, the chick has finally figured out how to get back to the others, and is sitting beside mom, more in the shade...at least, i hope that is what has happened, I looked away for a minute;  I hope that he didn't go over the ledge  :o...I only noticed because i was about to type that I was going to have to turn my sound off, the was CONSTANTLY cheeping (sounded like a squeaky toy) and it was driving me nuts, then there was no more cheeping, so I looked and there he was - either beside mom (yay) or gone (oh no!)  - I'll know better when i can get a count of the chicks;  waiting for a feeding now...

...actually, one chick has wandered away from the others (there's always one  ::) )...but it's going to get hot there today...mom is already acting as an umbrella, and has tried to shuggle the runaway back with the others, but he's just not getting it, and has hunkered close to the wall where there is a little bit of shade - mom keeps moving from the chickpile to the lone one, trying to shade both...then dad showed up with food, almost landing on the lone chick, who started to put up a fuss - you could see dad thinking "what the HECK!!!"  - dad has flown off, probably to get the food better prepared - hopefully, mom can use the food to "lure" the wanderer back to the chickpile and shade;  I'd be a little worried if she can't, I don't think it's old enough to thermoregulate yet...maybe dad could shade him?...
