...they must all be alike at heart, the females...still watching this feeding; there was a front and centre pile of 3 chicks in front of mom, and one at the back. The one at the back kept reeeeaching for the food, but would keep falling over, and by the time it got up again, the food had been distributed to one of it's siblings...however, mom did finally move around when the front 3 started getting sated, and gave more attention to the back one, who seemed to have some trouble grabbing the food from mom. I'm not worried, I think that this is just the most recently hatched chick - I suspect it takes several feedings before they get the full hang of ripping the food out of mom's beak and away from their siblings
... The older 3 seem to have very little trouble now...
