I seem to remember from past years that we shouldn't start worrying about Esmerelda for at least 48 hours.

Didn't one egg take a bit longer than the other last year? And still a chick emerged! I bet Esmerelda will make us anxious all day today and then show up tomorrow, all wide-eyed and innocent and who-me? and cute as a button!

Meal's over - looks like Dad is babysitting now  :) - not for long I'm guessing, can hear Princess 'chupping' at him - well she kicked him out - he had a little longer with the kids this time - about 30 seconds.... :-\

Hm, Princess must be hungry - she's eating it all herself! Poor chick bobbing around with its beak open but no food coming yet.... :-\ - ah there we go - now it's the kiddies' turn.  :D
