Thank you Tracy for the update. I can't wait to see the pictures Dennis took of Fyfe. :D
As for Carson I'm sending good thought for someone to find him. Please keep us posted.

Yes thanks for the update.  Sure hope they are both OK.  Looks like it's raining downtown now... let's hope it clears up for the evening allowing a return to the nest for both of them!  It's amazing to hear how the parents keep track of them.  Just like us, when babies take their first steps we are right there to pick them up.  :)

Well, talk about luck of the Irish, I was running an errand downtown (walking to Portage place) at about 1:00 p.m. Was watching somebody on the edge of the nest box just a flapping away. And then what do I see but a bunch of nuts hanging out of a 4th floor parkade, binoculars all around. Woot! What's all this?
So I scuttle up to the 4th floor too. And there, on a rooftop is Fyfe! Safe and sound, totally nonchalant, having a good preen. What a beautiful bird.

Had to get back to work, so left the nuts in charge.

Thanks for the update, TPC.
It's great to be reminded that the parents are good at finding their fledglings.
Wishing all of you fledge watchers sharp eyes and lots energy for tracking!

I think I'm the first one back, have to get the word out to others so they keep their eyes open.  The rest of the gang is babysitting Fyfe who is on a lower roof, but not so low as Loki's.  He has a clear exit route but hasn't taken the plunge yet.

Carson is out of sight, we have checking individual rooftops in all directions until we hit the river or residential areas.  No sign so far.  Haven't seen both parents much either, so good chance one of the adults, Princess we think, tracked him as he left and is keeping an eye on him.  The concensus among the Fledgewatchers right now is that its Ivy watching over the box and Fyfe but we haven't seen a band yet, just a big white breast so it could be the other way around.

Anywho, the adult at home is bops from the Hydro sign to the Radisson tower and back again.  Food came in at 08ish and Beatrix commandeered it, then Cade at 11ish snatched up the food.  Just a few minutes ago Dennis (on his second shift today) reported that the adult was plucking food up on the sign, then s/he was gone, perhaps to take food to Carson? Or to the adult babysitting Carson? Or just for him/herself, can't know as no one had a good vantage point to see where bird went.  But bird was back relatively quickly, so perhaps it was a food drop rather than dining in for one.

Boomer in west Winnipeg a few minutes ago, now rain.  Have let the gang downtown know that their charge may be getting wet next ...

Dang, just drove by the nest on Portage and had no idea that 2 had already gone!  :o - Waiting anxiously for news of Carson - and hope Fyfe is on a nice high roof that he can fly off! - If it's a low roof,  maybe he will be brought back to the penthouse by Tracy    ???

:P Cade backed up to the edge of the box, lifted his tail and yes, a poop shot. Hope no one was walking by at that time. :P

I'm a thinking it was his turn as it seems in a previous read that she stole the other one.  Tit for Tat but I am sure it is whoever gets there first ;D  Seems lonely in the nest box.   Hope all is going well with the other boys who decided to leave home today.
