Any idea what the prey was for the meal that just happened? It looked very big! I couldn't identify it.

Wow, maggiblue, you sure were up early for a Saturday morning.  :o

I too just got to watch a chick pile being fed.  I think it was Princess doing the feeding.  I still have to really look to see who is doing what here.

Looks a bit breezy and warm there.  Happy falcon watching to all today!

A feed jsut finished by Princess and she left out the front at 1 and you could see Treys shadow at 4. Trey has come to look after the kids now
It seems a bit breezy, but not bad and Trey is facing 1,with the kids in front

I am going to process a few picutres

allikat, the wind is down to nothing in West Broadway, so it probably is at the ledge.

She's like a rock on those kids, would take a strong gust to topple her end over kettle.

And as darkness falls, the gusts seem pretty strong.  Princess' tail is occasionally flipping up, and her back feathers are really ruffling.  She's looking very tightly hunkered down.

Princess definately can get the kids under her better than Trey but he provides such entertainment watching him babysit.  And you can be sure mum will be on the kids tonight with the winds howling in winnipeg for the night.  These two are my favorite as they were the first birds I watched lay and hatch eggs last year. And even though we lost the chicks these two parents are my number one favorites amongest peregrines to watch online!

Shift change.....have to admit, Princess is way more efficient at getting the little ones 'under cover' than Trey (having the size advantage of course!), but Trey is just so much fun to watch........

That was a pretty decent sized piece of dinner!
