Three chick face plant, exhaused after eating ;D ;D

I'm sorry, but that's not a face plant said the Rocky Mountain skier.  A proper "face plant" is named after a pole plant (stem Christie) where the skier plants their pole in the snow and pivots around the planted pole.  A proper "face plant" happens when a skier plants their face in the snow and pivots around the nose, or whatever else is deepest into the snow.  A proper "face plant" may or may not be part of a "yard sale," where the skier's equipment (skies, poles, gloves, goggles, cap or ski mask) are spread all over the slope, like at a yard sale.  A face plant is usually only mildly embarrassing, and isn't a "crash and burn."

You can really see the dinosaur heritage in the little chicklets especially when they're in profile like this.  :-*

Omg this is too funny Dad is feeding the chicks and one has a feather or something stuck to the side of its face lol
Sibling is trying to get it off my face but it isn't working lol

In comes Mom to feed the kids and "Mom removed the feather/fur/whatever from my face."

Yes, big thank you to CanadInns for continuing to support this project.   ;D
Lovely feeding going on now.  Any idea what lunch is?  It appeared to be very small with very long legs.

Can the chicks pant? Just wondering.

Yes and they do.  They also sprawl out all over the gravel to cool off.  And no, their feathers aren't as warm as you think - kind of thin at the moment (will get thicker over the next two weeks) so lying on the gravel really is quite cooling.

There's a big crane at the side of the building repairing the sign at the top of the parcade. It's at least 10 feet away and 6 or 7 floors down. No worrys of interference.

Hotel original to work on it a week or more ago but put it off until after the chicks hatched to reduce disturbance to the adults ...  Thank you the Radisson Hotel staff & CanadInns!

That crane went up pretty high. Wonder if it can go further?

No  ;)  Two feet short I believe ...
