hmmm. that seems like wishful thinking.  then again I think I can see an eyeball reflection near where the draindome is.

I'd bet it's Trey on the east corner, only because he seems to like to sit there.

'night all!

Good to have a tech-geek on board.  I think you're right -- it's probably in the "How Do I" thread.

bev, lovely pic.

Nice pic there bev.  It looks so serene.  :)
I wish I could figure that picture thingy out.
 >:(

it may be someone answered or TPC sent you to another thread... whatever - it's getting late and...  other details are for the social zone...

if the cam is in your active window and you are using Windows (may work on Mac just don't know) then click alt-print screen. or ctrl-print screen (slightly dependent on your system) you should be able to then paste into a paint or picture program like Windows Paint and crop to just the photo.  save to whatever site like photobucket (don't know which charge and not, just know some use photobucket) then use the insert image icon above to include in a post.

12:55 am and one parent is silhouetted against a background of construction signs. Can't see the chicklets in the dark  .......  Oh, okay my son says you can see one white blob of chick head in the top corner.

Yes that is a very serene picture.  I know what you mean Gramma about thinking the picture is frozen.  Then I will see the parent move or a car go by.

What a serene picture.  Parent (could be Princess because of the size) is still silouetted at the point and hasn't moved since I began reading the last three pages.  If it wasn't for the cars going by I would swear the cam was frozen. Night night everyone

two years ago the smallest chick was a female. She hatched a day or two after the others. Eventually she caught up with her older sibs, and grew to be bigger than her brothers.

In Mistral's case, only barely and only to us who know how small she was right from the start.  Anyone else looking at the little troup wouldn't know the difference I'm afraid  :D  Smallest female we have every had, hope she turns up somewhere, love to see what she can do ...
Two years ago I believe Mistral was everyone's favourite.  She was the sweetest chick.  I watched her for hours when she was alone in the nest box.  She just did the cutest things to entertain herself.  I often wonder how she is and where she is.  Her brothers were cute too but she was just the sweetest.

Well, we followed her every day and were happy when she fledged. It would be great to have news of how she is doing now. She was well named TPC and is well loved, even now by those of us who watched her grow.

One of these two seems much bigger than the other one.  Is the bigger one the female, or is it still too early to go by size to figure out which is male/female?

Nope, largest chick is the female.  The other way to tell them apart at this point, and it will only become more noticeable is the ratio of fluff to flight feathers.  Already the males have more of their flight feathers visible.  And the female will probably be less active.  She's still got a lot of growing and so she'll sleep more, more energy for developing if you save energy by napping.  But don't get freaked, personalities are coming out now and some will be quieter than others, that doesn't mean anything is wrong, just natural range of variation among siblings ...

Hey there, bccs, quite the day you had yesterday! Thanks for all the commentary about your day with Dennis on the roof! Were you the one wearing a RED t-shirt?!  ;) If so, I saw you!!! So much for all of our anonymity!  8) BOT - just look at those 3 little chickies, faceplant in the gravel! Whoa, camera person, hold still a moment, please. There, now that's a nice close-up!
yup, that was me in the red. You had the advantage of going public, not so for me. All in good fun though, and if it made people smile, what the heck
