For those that missed the earlier post...

To break up the boredom of watching sleeping chicks on the ledge...more photos have been added.

Just caught a food delivery, thought they were going to have a royal fight over it, but then they decided to share.

love how baby boy is hanging out at Point Trey.  as long as he isn't flapping and the wind isn't blowing, that is....

My heart just skipped a beat. One chick on the ledge and the wind almost blew him off but instead blew him into the main part of the ledge.  Careful little ones!

It's nerve-wracking watching the wings beating and seeing at least one of the chicks on the edge.  Is there anything (other than an ill-timed gust of wind)  that lets us know these chicks are going to leave the nest?  You said once, I think, that they have left other years at dawn.

Mostly they leave early in the day - 4-5-6 am ish.  Winds tend to be calmer then.  Last time they were on this ledge they all left at the same time (two males and 1 female  same as this year) but it was after sunset and we only had about an hour to watch them vefore it got too dark and we had to leave ... These little terrors, I suspect will be morning birds, they are always so darn gung-ho at 4-5 am on the webcam ... *sigh*

Talons not nailed down, but his one foot has become attached to the leftover, and his flapping is a bit off kilter.  Now he has the right idea.  Eat his way to freedom.  Looks like he might need help from a sib to get untangled from the prey.
