Keep in mind that these chicks have spent their entire lives surrounded by human noises ..

Kinderchick; Just think of all they have gone through in their short life.

Day and night traffic noise, sirens, thunder, lightning, wind, rain, etc.
Right! Hadn't really thought of all that. :-\

No, it will be dark and they are usually tucked up in the north corner or along the wall so no accidents.  And they don't pay much attention to human sounds - if you see a fire engine or ambulance, check out the birds - adults and chicks - and they are usually asleep or looking somewhere else entirely.  Keep in mind that these chicks have spent their entire lives surrounded by human noises ...

I know this might sound like a silly question, TPC, but I was just wondering,  could the fireworks at the Forks this evening, frighten the chicks into fledging early? ???

Don't worry little one - the noise you hear is the cannons at the leg. (They don't really seem to notice - do they)

Its not like the boys haven't gotten food today, their first meal comes in between 4 and 5 in the morning, so this is probably number three for the day!
Good to know that! This tired teacher was still snoozing at that hour! ;)
