Well, technically, if I borrowed Larry's magical box, I could check out what's going on in the nestbox without actually going to the nestbox .... hmmm, maybe time to buy a magical box for myself ....  ;)

Egg check not needed. So glad they picked the nest box and not the garden ledge. Too much rain coming our way in the next few days and Princess should relax in the luxury and comfort of the condo while incubating those precious eggs.  ;D ;D

For those of our peregrines' fans who are outside the 'Peg, from about noon today, the weather has gone downhill.  Not unexpected, just not appreciated.  Wind came up about noon, clouds have come in, rain expected ... aw heck, here's the forecast for the next week ....

According to Environment Canada for Winnipeg:

Tonight Cloudy. A few showers beginning this evening and ending late this evening then 60 percent chance of showers late this evening and overnight. Wind southeast 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low 12.

Thursday Cloudy. 60 percent chance of showers in the morning. Rain beginning later in the morning. Amount 10 to 20 mm. Wind southeast 40 km/h gusting to 60. High 17 with temperature falling to 11 in the afternoon.   Thursday night Rain ending late in the evening then cloudy. Amount 5 mm. Wind east 30 km/h becoming light early in the evening. Temperature steady near 10.

Friday Rain. High 11.

Saturday Rain. Windy. Low plus 5. High 8.

Sunday Cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries or rain showers. Low zero. High 6.

Monday A mix of sun and cloud. Low plus 2. High 18.

Tuesday A mix of sun and cloud. Low 7. High 20.

So what does that mean?  That it is unlikely that I will disturb the birds for a "chick-check" until its warmer and drier.

2:05, Ivy sitting on the N on the east side. Watched him for about 3 seconds and he took off, flew over my head and headed south east toward the river(s).    ;D ;D

When I got to work this morning at 7:05 Princess was on the letter S and just now IV flew out of the nest and princess popped in. It is 7:40 so Princess had a little rest but back at it. It is amazing how they know to do these things and we can't even get human fathers to wake up during the night!

Ivy had a little visit to the east side within range of the spycam later this afternoon.  Lots of preening and watching meals fly by ... eventually he gave in and went hunting ...

Yes, Mother Hen, we sure are glad that you have a "bird's eye view" to keep us all posted till the webcam is up and running! 8)

It'll be great when the webcam is live but, until then, it sure helps to hear your reports, Mother Hen -- and I sure wish I could be looking out your window instead of mine!  ;)
