Missed the feeding :( :(.  Must watch closely, though, the next one I'm able to see.

Now it seems that one little fellow/girl is hanging out away from the rest...close to the edge - dreaming of the day he/she will fledge?  More likely just trying to catch the little bit of shade on that side!

Just enjoying the feeding. ;D
Now, I'm so far from being an expert, but........   the two big greedy ones, I'm gonna say they are girls.
The two smaller, wait their turn chicks....   boys.
What do I base this on??
Well Trey and Ivy are boys that take a step back from the spotlight and have manners.
Princess and Vesper are 2 girls that ( hmmmm trying to be gentle here  ;D )
speak their minds, do not shrink back and want what they want, right freakin' now!!!!!!!    ;D

Any thoughts from y'all??

I think you are on to something.  ;D

For those of you not in Winnipeg, it's been a grand day as far as weather is concerned.
Big fluffy clouds moving lazily by, sun out, sun behind . A lovely temperature of about 20. Not too hot for our chicks.
The kids are starting to wander, see the above posts.
One thing I have noticed and loved about our babies, is that no matter how old they get, they still like to huddle and chick-pile. Yup, they are individuals, but still like the security of the group.
Oh, I think I'm smitten by the chickies   ;D

They are spending less time huddled together, probably starting to thermoregulate themselves a bit.

A little earlier when they were pulling apart, it seemed as if they weren't sure whose wings belonged to whom. All tangled together, so sweet.  ;)

A wanderer right in front of the camera.   Cute as can be!   He has his own agenda.  The others can "cling" to each other but not for him ;D

The gang is awake, and chattering amongst themselves.  They seem to all be surprised to find they have wings, and are sorting out what to do with them.
Here comes one butt scooting to the lens, swivelling and bobbing back.  How entertaining!

I have watched a Coopers hawk "dive bomb" a big grey squirrel in my backyard! It was pretty impressive, poor squirrel didn't know what hit him, it was so fast. :o ...
WOW! Didn't know a Cooper's Hawk could do that! :o Must have been very impressive, indeed! 8) Poor squirrel, is right! :'(

That short attention span is part of what makes them so comical and endearing!

But such a short attention span -- then it's back to the chick pile! One head sticking out of the motionless lump . . .

Just imagine if Ivy ends up feeding four huge female chicks.

And if they take after Princess - poor Ivy will be having someone screaming at him no matter which way he turns.  :o

They are just so cute - someone has gone exploring and waddling over to the camera and blocking the view of the chick pile. "Look at me . . .it's all about me".
