He/she is practically welded to the carcass, though it sure looks like slim pickings!

Right now there's a chick nibbling a carcass right in front of the camera.
Sniff . . . how quickly they grow up :'(

Both parents were on the tower, one has taken flight, but the other is right at the top.

With these chicks getting "in our face" it is startling to see how more mature raptor like they have become with the beak growing and the face darkening.

They are also walking without the bum scooting so much, though the face plant stage seems far from over.  What great entertainment now that they are mobile!

Great viewing.  One chick awake and was eying the big nestover on the other side of sleeping sibling.  Many futile neck stretching and bobbing activities to get closer. Finally with no nudging seeming to budge sib, he began a slow progress from his position between sib and the wall to completely cover the camera lens, then turn to eye it suspiciously, and finally make progress towards the potential snack.  With other chick now awake I thought there would be a lively discussion for possession of the snack, but both seem to have worn themselves out and are now back snoozing.

 :P Great word, nestover! However, does nothing for my appetite. Maybe it should be refrigerated, ooohhh, food poisoning.  ;D ;D

And no doubt TPC will be around later to do appropriate shovelling and lock downs.

Not sure this has been asked before, if so I missed it. But was wondering how much the chicks eat in a day in comparison to their body weight. 25% ?  50 %  more ?  Seems like everytime I check in on them they are eating.  :)

Just caught the end of a feeding. They're at the "I can do it myself!!!" stage. A little awkward but getting it done. ;D

Oh, yes GCG a very good chuckle, and not at your expense at all.
Can't tell you how many times I've done something similar and laughed at myself. And sharing it with others, that's the best. ;D ;D

What are the chicks doing now??

::) I am having a laugh at my own expense. While looking at the chickpile, I thought I saw a pair of black eyes staring at the cam. To my embarrassment, the chick moved and the head came up from the other end. What I was looking was the black feathers on its butt. LOL  :-[
That is so funny GcG, thanks for the chuckle.

 ::) Hi bccs, you're welcome, I think??  :-\
