??? TPC (Tracy) In your expert opinion, judging by their behavior, is fledge time imminent? For them, that would be phantastic, for us, not so much.

1152 hrs (local) - our first escapee has made it onto the ledge & his brother is now watching closely.  The girls aren't so interested.  And yes, our first ledge escapee is our smallest male, the one with white tape on his FWS band! Yellow band male isn't so sure and has just hopped back inside the nestbox.

White male is down near the ledge cam (not hooked up to the webcam system) and periodically he puts his head in front of the camera.  I can see part of his back as he sits on the edge of the ledge.

1100 hrs (local) - all four chicks are still in the nestbox.  Hopefully they will wait until the winds go down before trying out their wings.

Was watching the chicks yesterday when they were wingercizing and they are still hanging their wings when they are done and usually that means that they are still building their wing strength and hopefully that means they aren't quite ready to go.  Sitting on the edge & wingercizing is good exercise for both wings and feet.  Their feet are very strong, so as long as they hang-on (which they are hardwired to do) they can flap quite hard without going aloft.  Advantage of the edge vs the flat ledge is that they can hang onto the edge so theoretically they shouldn't get blown off but rather go intentionally when they are ready.

We will just have to wait and see ... I'm still going to hope they wait for a less windy day!

;D A very large chick pile in front of the cam, minus one, who is on the ledge wingercising in anticipation of the debut of its fledge. I think we are going to see a lot of that, sadly/happily!  :'(   ;D

Good morning forum. Good Morning Radisson Royals. Three chick pile under the ledge. One chick standing at the ledge, possibly awaiting a warm breakfast. :P Will today be the day? It remains to be seen. Back later! :-*

Not asleep.  At least one head, and occasional flappings are visible.

One little fellow - I'd take a picture if I knew how.  For some reason I find these times of night, when we see the babies' shadows against the night sky, very endearing..Now would be a great shot:  one brother on the edge two siblings one either side.  Beautiful shots.  If I knew how to take one... :-[

Looks like more chatteing going on... ::)
