Someone is right on top of the camera - looks like a boy - I'm sure I saw a yellow band.  Can't see anybody else, but I'm sure everybody is trying to stay cool - not an easy task as it's 29 currently, I believe...

1550 hrs (local) - the boys are outside playing along the edge of the box, the girls are tucked into the cam corner inside the nestbox.

Thanks bccs, I'm surprised that one hasn't tried it yet. I would think it would be a bit cooler with the breeze out there than being in the box. Maybe once one ventures there the others will follow.

  While posting a Happy Canada Day to all earlier, one thing keeps going through my mind. Will Sunday, the 4th of July, be "Independence" day for our Radisson Royals?

Any idea when we'll be switching to the 'SkyCam' TPC, or Eye-Spy 

Remember when we went off-line a week and a bit ago?  We think it might have had something to do with our new ability to remotely switch between cameras.  Eye-Spy is working on an alternative setup to hopefully ensure we don't go "down" again, so the answer to your question is soon!

Finally got to have a look at them. The cam wouldn't come up when I first logged on and tried again and it finally worked. Watched one eating and you sure know it is close to them fledging when you see those couple of tuffs on the top of their heads that you must want to reach in and pull out. With the sun shining so brightly, it's kinda hard to see them when they are standing by the ledge.

Drove by the Radisson on my way home from an errand this morning. Didn't see any birdies, big or small, but there sure is a lot of "fluff" floating around in the air.

Two chicks on the edge of nestbox, looking very grown up.  Interesting how they're both facing into the nest.  Encouraging their siblings to "come on out"? or feeling a little ambivalent about leaving home soon...

The adults like to sit facing in as well when they are awake ... when they are napping they tend to be facing outwards, though not always ...

... as for encouraging, you see that more when they are out and flying and come back to the nest or near the nest ... then it does seem to be more "encouraging" or "why aren't you following me, why do I need to keep coming back for a chick pile to sleep in" ...
