Rain blew through town just a bit ago, dropped the temp by a couple of degrees, humidity can't tell if its broken yet ... thunder rumbling in the west continues ...

All the kids have come out of hiding and spent the rainshowers cooling down and doing some wingercizing ... nobody decided to go inside to stay dry ...

Raining pretty heavily in St. Vital and four wee birds have all come into the nestbox to avoid getting drenched - although only one so far is under cover.  Must be a welcome shower after all the heat of the day!  So good to see that they're all safe.  Ready for adventures tomorrow?!?

Lots of wingersizing going on!

Is it four chicks in the box or did a parent arrive?

Good one, Gale.
I would think, even without the fly by, this tornado watch and high humidity afternoon in Winnipeg will be memorable for the Queen.

:o Tornado watch, growing up in my home town, we never, ever, thought it could happen. A watch, a warning, it could happen. I have been away most of the afternoon, and thanks TPC for your posts and current weather conditions. Most of us without peregrine educations would never know that weather and forcasts would and could make a difference. From all of us, a very sincere, THANK YOU! Tomorrow, the fourth of July, will it be INDEPENDENCE DAY for the Radisson Royals?  ;) :-*

That little crackerjack!  He's determined, that's for sure.  I predict he'll be fledging by tomorrow.  I'm very excited about possibly seeing some live action in the morning!

1649 hrs (local) - three chicks - Red, Green & Yellow in the nestbox, White is on the ledge and fixated on the gap in the louvres ... actually, I think the little dip may actually take the leap in order to get somewhere he thinks is cooler ...

I've been itching to go downtown, but can't find my binoculars.  Almost went anyway, just to see what I could see. ::) ::)

Just got back home after doing some errands. Spent about 1&1/2 hrs. (12:30-2:00 PM) downtown watching the nestbox with my binoculars. Kept seeing one chick hop up on the ledge, then back into the nestbox. Sure was hot down there, with the humidity. :P Looked for others with binocs looking up, but didn't see anyone.
