Yes I will be at the banding front and centre.  The cam is down again and the young are still under the web cam anyway so not much to see even if it was up.  I will keeping running down to see if I can catch them

Hey Carly, I hope that everything goes well at the banding.  Will you be there?  I haven't seen too much of these guys as they were usually out of sight, probably getting out of the sun, or the cam was down.

Pffft...coffee didn't help, I saw little greyish heads!!

So the web cam online crapped out over the weekend and I didn't see the girls til this morning.  Now I'm nervous, tomorrow is banding day...they will be one month old and they are darker than I'd expect them to be at banding time!!  The two I saw in cam range this morning have black wings with greyish down tufts on them....they were more white last year at this time.  Underbellies still white though of course but wings....wow 

I'll go down again after coffee...that's it, maybe more coffee is needed

All of my kids are on cam this morning at 6 am, Angel just gave them some food and now they are shuffling over to the nestbox area...our 2 days of summer are over and we are going back to normal temps today 

The kids are looking out over the area with mom, no doubt thinking 'uh huh, no way I'm going out there!

Like clockwork,,,my kids come back to the box for their nightly tuck in 

The Banding date has now been confirmed and posted for next Tuesday at 1:30 pm...when I will once again attempt to foil the cranky ministry lady and touch the chicks

It is a good thing that you know their habits.  Otherwise we might panic if we didn't see them.

My chicks are all at the other end of the ledge under the web cam no doubt..guess they don't like being watched..

HOly...look how big they are - so differnet to see them outside the box with parent than inside, can now appreciate their size!!!  Dinner time !
