cam is up and running

We have 2 eggs

first egg . early am may 18( before 7:40 am)

egg 2 -before 8Am may20 ( very early Am )

same female . 1(horizontal line )D
male - not banded ( but believe same as last year by markings)

2014 NESTING SEASON

I am monitoring from a really bad test cam right now.

We had 2 back and then no one at box .
so Peter and I went out there on April27 and the stinkers were in and out o f a vent. We were there for 3 hours monitoring them. So they had to wait till they could get safety approved and Gord wanted to give them chance to finish clutch. The idea was to gather eggs and incubate them and then hopefully they would reclutch in box.

So May 3 I turned cam back on ( I had not watched for 2 days as no one ever came there)( I recorded
And what do we have 2 falcons at box scraping.  they have been there ever since. What happened who knows. Territorial fight , ????
But when George and others  went to vent on May6, no eggs. We were very surprised.

Since May 6 test cam has been very spordic and purple and green . Goes off every other second. But between a friend  and I we have been watching. The old  index finger is mighty sore.  ::) ::) ::)

Food to box, female has looked  to be trying to lay egg for last few days. Very hard to see but we are trying. Almost got an ID also.

We do know male has no bands.

so stay tuned. I wil try and get some decent pictures

And yes, I do have a busy other life.  ;) ;) ;)

and went up finally May 6 to gather eggs But no eggs. They did leave an Owl decoy there to hopefully dicourage them
