Genesee:
As of last week there is a female and a new male in the nesting box and a scrape has been developed.

Meanwhile: The male with the transmitter left Venezuela  on April 8 and as of April14, the male was at the Panama Canal.  He left his wintering location 5 days ahead of last spring’s schedule, but he’s taken 2 weeks to get to his location in central Panama (~1400 km).  He doesn’t seem to be in a hurry as he’s traveling only around 200 km a day.

4:23pm - they have both been in and out today for quite a bit.

Geoff just e-mailed me and they had misinformation and the TG male just left wintering grounds now. someone misread his for an owls.So he will be awhile so let us hope these 2 lay eggs here before he comes home. then they will be more committed to the box.
