I kinda forgot there was more than 1 camera.. :-[ - now that the chick is alot bigger, I find that camera #3 is a good view!!! - and we can see Mom hanging out right outside too!  ;D

I think it's just feathers, they eat all the good stuff up :P  And I think the lighting makes it look worse than it is, today earlier I swear I saw an extra bird in there..he looked smaller but was black.. ;D  then I realized it was the shadows and the sun playing with the feathers, kind of like when you look at the clouds and see shapes or faces  ;)

As long as there is no risk of health danger, all the clutter adds some variety in the nest to make up for having no siblings.  That and playing with its shadow.

Wish I had seen her checking out the webcam!  I'm also guessing the Trey gene must have missed Radisson but on the plus side she's got the 'great mom' gene from Princess so better a good, untidy mom than a nasty mean mom  :D

I think they need to call in Trey for a day to use his housekeeping skills  ::) - failing that, hopefully when it's banding time, they'll take a minute to clean up the nest a bit - ...ick... ;)

Mom just checked out the cam, glaring for awhile, standing on it, back down looking at it, and finally standing on it triumphantly before flying off.

Do you think it is Dad doing the breakfast in the pictures?  I'm looking at size proportionate to the nest box, and thinking that Radisson is more than half the box length, whereas this adult seems pretty compact.
