Canada Geese - Alberta / Edmonton
Kinderchick:
Wow! I will have to keep watching to see if I can observe the eggs. Have only seen her incubating, to date.
Ellie:
I have been watching this site also and have had the good luck of her being off the nest for a length of time. I counted 8 eggs but the nest appears to have a bit of depth so perhaps the count is higher ??? We'll see eventually. Have no idea how long before the eggs hatch. You often see goslings around long weekend in May here in Wpg. ;D
Linder:
Just visited this site and was lucky to see the goose stand up and move/turn 6 eggs around. It was interesting to watch as it laid back down over the eggs and pulled straw and feathers around itself to protect the eggs. Will check into this site again. Curious to know though, how long does it take for these eggs to hatch?
Kinderchick:
Thanks for this link, Elaine! :D
