Thanks Eli, the best report ever!!!!!!. Can just tell by the tone that you are all just relaxing and enjoying the moments and are not worried about the kids and fledging.
What a wonderful time for you all, wow oh wow. Big silly, happy, dopey smile on my face for you.
Enjoy and live the moment. :-* :-*

Just got back from the site.  The youngsters are all grown up now, looking sleek and healthy and full of pep.  We watched them practice tag and flying upside down with talons at the ready, and also watched Mr. Red chase mom off her perch again.  This time, she had had enough - she zoomed down on him and grabbed him in her talons, then let go.  He flew off to the other side of the Education Building and stayed there, where we gather he nursed his wounded pride for a while; we saw him fly later, so he was not hurt.  Later, all the youngsters gathered on the Education Building to eat, preen, and just take it easy after some flying practice.  Mom decided that some crows were too close to the kids, and took off after them, so we saw a whole flock of crows zoom across our line of vision with her right behind, then she turned around and went back to the Education Building.  We did not see dad, but it was too early for him to tuck in, so we think he was probably off patrolling his territory.  All in all, it was a very relaxing evening for Bev, Peter and I, just watching the youngsters practice their flying, nothing very stressful, and no heart-stopping moments - thankfully!

I don't post as often now that the Manitobian birds have taken flight but I still read the posts and I must say to Bev, Mr. Bev, Lorac and backwards spelled Bob and Carly, thank you all for your dedication, your love and your work!!!!!!

Alison:
Thank you so much for the great reports, Bev, Mr. Bev and Eli! And thank you for watching over this falcon family as the juvies fledge. It's so good to know how well they are doing (still wondering about what happened to Mr. White, though). I hope there are no more territorial battles at this site - it has had more than enough.

allikat:
Thank you so very much for the updates Bev and Peter (Mr. Bev  ;)).
Our eyes were glued to the site during all of the drama.  Very happy to hear that Radisson and Damon drove the other pair out and kept the kids safe during all of this.  It's great news that there were no injuries...talk about a lesson given to the kids first hand....er, talon  ::)
Thank you for your dedication and devotion to the falcons.
