carly:
Our beauty is sitting on her perch tonight...I think she may be dozing and looking fierce while doing it :P
She is inside the box now, wonder if she might lay an egg? She's looking awfully lethargic or she just had a rough day ;)

--- Quote from: bev. on May 01, 2009, 11:15 ---This has been ongoing and I cannot say it is a money issue because I and a few others have offered our money support here. I donated a whole wad the first year I started watching but.. We were promised sound and then no sound. We have given ideas, given pictures for their photo gallery It was turned down. The others just gave up.

Don't give up heart Bev, things change and webcams are very very popular right now and someone at U of A might yet decide to pick up the torch and run with it. Webcams are however brutally expensive to run - that's just the actually watching the picture part. The rest of it - the blogs, forums, galleries are a full time occupation which for most of us means long hours nights & weekends as we all have day jobs. And that is before the actual hands-on project work. The Maine webcam has a fundraising drive on their website now (65K this year) to support their webcam, though I think perhaps that that is only part of the actual cost to operate the webcam. I don't remember if they have additional details on costs, but if you are interested, check out their site. (Okay, now here is the shameless promotion part :-[) If you are shocked by the amount and want to ensure Trey & Princess remain online - Click here.

Nice to see and read that things are going so well here. 8) Thanks so much for the slideshow and I hope that you are feeling better.
bev.:
At about 11:30 the male comes to front perch with food. Female stays in nest box , then male leaves. Female has a few words. Male comes back and they are both on front perch, but he has no food. (missed that scape)Female leaves and male stays on perch and then leaves.
Looking good. This has been happening for last few days. I remember that is how the male does it here. He brings food and then takes it where she can eat it and then comes back to box. Pa did that at deMOrtel also. Everyone was wondering where he went with the food.
I mad a small sideshow so as not to take up space. Just click on the picture.
the last 2 shots are of the male . You can see how his chest differs form the female.

Thanks for all your efforts re the cams Bev! Y 8)....ou can only do so much, I guess we ARE lucky to have what we have - but then we get spoiled by other sites (ie Elk River) and want to see & hear EVERYTHING! ;D - I'm sure as the sites become more popular, they'll upgrade at some point. You're posting some great Pics!!!!!!!!!!
