Downtown Nestsite
San Francisco, California In 1987, peregrines started visiting the Pacific Gas & Electric Building located at 77 Beale Street in the financial district of San Francisco and a nestbox was installed in the hope that a pair might nest there. It wasn't until 2003 (16 years later) that the first pair moved in and the peregrines remained in residence until 2021 when the webcam shut down and the birds moved to a new nestsite in the area. The new site doesn't have a webcam as the property managers are not quite ready to go public.
