I am watching this as well.
The chick in the corner keeps cheeping. In excitement? Confusion? Distress? It is continuous noise.
The parent keeps looking over at the chick, and now and then wandering over to perhaps try to nudge the chick back to the others, but it is not working.
Maybe when the next meal arrives the chick will find a way to get back to the  others? Here's the snack arriving now . . .

Goodness, one chick wandered over to the nearest corner against the wall awhile ago, must be 10 minutes, Mom tryed and tryed to get him back, she left the other chicks and tryed.  to no avail, she is now back brooding the 2 chicks and he is still in the corner.  Hope its not too cold out.  Boys Mom wants him back over with her.  I can only see part of the chick, think it is curled up sleeping.  Asserting independance all ready?  lol

I am getting to see a morning feeding and a great look at how these chicks have grown.  Wow.  Hard to believe they were just born 9 days ago.  Last Monday.. They are getting a lot stronger.  Oh boy, do they have any idea what today is going to bring?  I hope we get to see some/all of the banding.  If anyone watches try to take pics will you?  I will too if I am here.  I don't know how to record the video or I would, think I need to purchase/download a software pkg to do that and I am not at all  certain which one or how to do that.  LOL.  Would love to be able to see what Mom and Dad do especially, hope someone stands by down below and videos all the dive bombing and antics.  We would certainly be reminded that these are wild creatures I am sure.  Happy viewing.

LOL.  Thank goodness human babies don't have projectile pooping!   ;D ;D
Haha thank goodness indeed!  ;D It's amazing how far the little ones can shoot.

I can't believe how big the chicks have gotten so far. They can't even fit under their mother anymore (even though she's certainly trying!) It must be cold there today for them to be huddling so close together.

I had the same reaction, Pchemist.  Wondered what the heck the sound was...

It's funny -- these chicks get fed a LOT, and yet everytime someone comes with food they screetch as if they're starving to death!   :D

So I'm watching and I hear this weird sound.  Mom had been outside and she popped in and settled against the chicks.  Then the sound got louder and more persistent.  I finally realized it was rain hitting the roof of the nestbox.  Bet they're glad they have shelter!

Good views of the egg right now.  She's not even bothering to sit on it anymore, so I guess it's just a matter of time until it disappears. :(

True....she may just push it aside like I've seen in other nests....There have been so many nests this year where there have not been full clutches.  I wonder if that is typical or unusual.  Maybe somebody knows.  And I know of at least 3 total clutch failures, if you count Utah...so sad...

I've been checking in on the family on and off all day...I swear, I must be on the same scedule as the trains!!!!  I guess they are used to it, but I've really had to turn my sound down.  I've missed all the feeds, so I am glad to read y'alls report!!!!  I have glimpsed the egg...I think...but that's all I've had...just a glimpse....I can't believe how much they have grown already!!!  they are beautiful!!!

Well, mom's preening...and I think the kids are asleep....

Leaving the chicks alone isn't a problem at this age if the weather is warm enough and never doubt that the parents are only ever seconds from the nest and are always watching what's going on.  One of the downsides of webcams on nests, is that you can't see what is going outside of camera range.  If I had to guess, Dad turned up with food and Mom went to meet him and to scarf down some of the food herself before bringing it back to the kids.  These birds are in an actual box, so its entirely possible that she was eating on the roof of the box and Dad was sitting on a roost site just a few metres away.  That's what happens here - Trey spends alot of time sitting on the Radisson sign 18 stories overhead and Princess takes off across the street to the Sterling Building (northwest corner of Portage and Smith).

They sure are good looking chicks ... Mom & Dad are very good at their job.

Just switched on about 10 min ago, noticed these chicks have been on their own since then - Where's Mom???  ??? - I know they're a couple days older than P&T's chicks but still seems a long time to leave them uncovered. Maybe it's warmer there than it is here.  :-\

Oh yes, I can see the egg now.  I guess it was just buried under its sibs last night.  Interesting that the parents haven't given up on it yet.

Another noisy feeding going on - and mom(or dad) is keeping the kids out of the sun in the back of the box.  The egg is still around - I wonder when they will remove it, if ever.
