I thought last years hatched around the same time as these but I was very wrong they didn't hatch til May 26th I  hope I can find out when the banding is going to be this year I didn't get to see it last year because of work I'll make sure I take the day off this time. I feel a cold coming on

This is when they got banded last year

June 12: Eyasses were banded by the Raptor Resource Project. There were 2 males and 1 female. Students at Vandenberg Middle School named the eyasses "Chase", "Bullet" and "Lightening"

Yeah, it was the 2nd best to watch for me, after Little Missy, Chinook, and Hurricane.  (Taku - where's that "head bowed" smiley?)

You could totally be right.  I don't remember them being banded -- guess I was at work.  My memories are mostly of Lightning screeching at her parents everytime they entered "her" digs, and the Three Amigos lined up on the ledge all night.  Except for when Lightning ditched them for sleep, of course!  LOL

I might be confusing them with the Sheraton chicks but I seem to recall June 7-8 as the date ... I'll go and check out last year..

I guess the loner realized it's warmer in the chickpile at night, not off on your own like in the daytime.  ;D
