Well..so much for my "ledgewalkers" comment...seems that two have fledged!
They just grow way too fast.

I hope so too, Liz!  I wish they'd switch to that other camera, in fact!  give us a better chance of seeing the others.  :)  (it's all about us, of course)

What a shock to tune in and see only one left!  I hope they update the note soon, and give us a pic like past year when Chase took off early.

Parent dropped off a rodent for the remaining chick. I think a sibling followed the parent and landed on the ledge, looked at the meal being hidden in the corner and took off.
Last year the chicks returned to the nest for the night. Flying must be so much fun but home is where they feel safe.

doubt it was a rodent.  probably a de-winged and de-feathered bird with a limp leg mimicking a rodent tail.  too many birds to hunt there to be bothered with going to ground for rodents.

cam is not working for me now though.  :(

love the term flappersize JL!! gave me a good chuckle. cam's been working fine for me all day. still hoping for a notice from the Elk River folks regarding the other two... would be good to have confirmation that they are fine.

Cam's been fine for me all day.  Only the one lonely chick looking out on the ledge, probably at his brothers.  He did a lot of flappercise earlier but has not fledged.

Haven't been able to watch for a few days, and now there's only one in the box! I hope we have two successful fledges. If you see the other chicks flying about for sure, please post so that we can breathe easy. Go chicks!

Poor little chick. He's wondering where everyone went. Although, perhaps he can see them if they are on that little platform below and to the left of the nestbox where last year's chick ended up at first fledge attempt. Can't wait to see what happens next.

The remaining chick has certainly tried flapping, but then looks like he might overbalance and pulled back. Went and attacked the back wall instead.

Yes, I think those were the parents, too good of flyers to be the chicks.  The last chick still a bit scared to go but he's making some cute funny faces at the camera to amuse us.   :P
