I've been working on names for the Radisson chick and I've been getting hung up on just one - Bella. Why Bella - one is Baby Ella but more than that, while Ella is a good looking bird, Pandemic has inherited his dad Annie's good looks and his grandfather Beau's as well. Beau was absolutely gorgeous. So Bella from the Latin meaning "beautiful" and Baby Ella in the hopes she inherit's her mothers mothering skills and sheer bloody-mindedness.(aka stubborness)

Haven't found any themes or names and certainly nothing that has stuck in my head like Bella, so I think that is what's he is supposed to be named.  It's funny, when there are more chicks in a nest it seems easier than when there is just one - go figure!

Here we are, breathlessly waiting for the news.   :D
Was banding possible?
Or did our little one fail to nap indoors, within reach, yesterday?

Little one did fail to nap but failed to exit the inside part of the box and we scoop her (he's her) up and banded here with a minimal amount of blood (mine).  She was a few days older than I like for banding but because of the holiday and hot active weather we were trying to find a time that would be less stressful for all involved.

Working on a name for her now ... 😁
Also working on a long account of the event - just been a very busy week!

Was thinking of banding this weekend but with the heat/humidity I'm playing it by ear. No point stressing out Chicklet more than we have to.  Tuesday/Wednesday is I think about as late as I want to leave it however so will keep ya all in the loop.
