Radisson - pretty sure the chicks are exactly as I saw them last night! They grow so fast they need their naps. They hatch from an chicken egg sized egg to about the size of a Kleenex box in 25 days. Add flight feathers & presto - peregrine falcon ready to fly! #mbfalcons pic.twitter.com/POGNTypkXM— The Peregrine Chick (@mbperegrines) June 7, 2021

Radisson - quiet at the moment in the nestbox & Ella is parked on the box edge keeping watch. She kept the eggs dry last night but I think that was just protective hardwiring given the rain overnight. Bit of a breeze on the box edge, might keep box a bit cooler today.#mbfalcons pic.twitter.com/QcgwSUIN6T— The Peregrine Chick (@mbperegrines) June 6, 2021

Radisson - Ella had been sitting on the edge of the box (some may have seen her shadow) then Pip bombed by with food and off she went. Quick meal for the kids and she's back on the edge - might mean 2nd dinner is coming soon, or later this evening.#mbfalcons pic.twitter.com/gSFIBqzOHT— The Peregrine Chick (@mbperegrines) June 6, 2021

Radisson - boomers in west Winnipeg and rain in downtown but the box is staying dry ... see the chick's head peeking out bottom right? Looks like Ella but the light is weird so can't be sure yet ...#mbfalcons #mbstorm pic.twitter.com/DpTq0uFoNs— The Peregrine Chick (@mbperegrines) June 6, 2021

Radisson - one chick is just visible outside on the nestbox "balcony". If the rain comes, s/he may come in, or both may go out ... either way the chicks will be happier. Ella/Pip may perch on the box edge to enjoy the shower as well.#mbfalcons— The Peregrine Chick (@mbperegrines) June 5, 2021

As RCF says, Hurricane was the resident female in Brandon for 12 years, had four mates and fledge out 30 young, an impressive personal accomplishment for any bird.
