Message from the Westar Energy folks ...
We've had no reports of any injured or killed falcons and we see the chicks and adults routinely, so we believe that the family is all still healthy. We tend to spot them perched on our Westar signs and communications tower.
Names were chosen based on popular suggestions from previous years and traits.
The names are as follows:
* Shawnee: Reference to Shawnee county, Kansas. Where Topeka is located. (female B/91)
* Kansa: Short for Kansas. Also reference to Native American tribe. (female B/92)
* Galvani: Reference to famous discoverer/inventor of electricity. (male H/65)
* Volta: Reference to famous discoverer/inventor of electricity. Fitting of his traits. (male H/67)

This came in late last night from Westar, some RCF has already reported :)
We had a slight scare today as one of our young falcons was found down around the our downtown office building. The falcon was returned to the roof top and seems to be doing just fine. We also located the remaining young, three are on top of the building and one is still in the nest box.
On top of the building is an ideal location for them to be right now. They have room to learn how to fly and mom and dad can still easily provide food. We shot a short video: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200652845737842
