I stopped by on the way home. They were on the top of the JSMB Mom and Dad were on the east wing on the east side one on the roof corner and one on the top floor railing Early was on the roof west wing east side and Lexie was just below on the top floor railing. Kind of cool they were in the same spots as the parents only on the other wing. There coming along. Falconer on the ground told me they made several flights today no crashes. They must be getting better to be where they are on the top of the building like that. These ones are gonna make it.

We were all asuming the one that left first was a boy because it was so much smaller which happened to be right but the second one was so big and lost its white feathers so much later we assumed it was a female BOY WERE WE WRONG even Bob thought it was a girl so its 2 Boys - Early and Lexie

Ahhhh, that explains it!  Thanks Kittenface.

Okay, maybe I'm just not reading this right ... they thought the small chick was a female and the large chick was a male?  ???
And now they have found that the large chick is a female and the small chick is a male  ???

...hey kittenface, that's excellent news, both fledged & apparently safe...maybe you could just add an "a" & remove an "e" from lexie & make it alexi - pretty close...gonna miss watching their nest, though...

Boy I was just so sure that was a girl with the size difference and WE can always add the "a" and take away the "e" here I like that better. Yes I'm gonna miss it to but then we have next year to look for.

HIS NAME IS LEXIE

We left both young peregrines on the north face of the JSMB in the rain tonight. "Early" took a couple good flights today, with no crashes. "Lexie" on the other hand had a slight mishap and ended up in the flowers. We were able to get her in hand, band her and release her on the north roof top of the JSMB. Guess What? I was wrong! *LEXIE IS A BOY! *We're not changing the name, but I'll refer to her as a him from now on.

ITS A BOY AGAIN

Update from jethat
The big new is.. Those of us who thought the Little one was a female are WRONG! They were on the admin building until about 4-5 o'clock and they got active Early Bird took off and got caught in a gust of wind and it carried him to near the top of the JSMB when I was there he was tucked in one of the upper scrolls, Little one tried to fly over to the COB and barely missed ended up landing in the space between the sections of the COB HE was then quickly captured and givin a quick phisical and his sex was determined. He was then taken up the elevator and left in the same spot early bird was at the top near the beehive. I could see them but they were so far away I couldn't get any decent pictures. Parent was there Watching them.. The guy who told me all this was the guy who captured the little one.. looks like there coming along..

SHE DID IT!!!!!!

Our little one has taken flight! As there is no time stamp, I don't know when it occurred, but it wasn't very long ago. She flew right off the ledge towards the white buiding.  It looks like she might have landed in garden below
