Now the other one is up on the ledge!!!  :o

She is still there! At least she is still, and not flapping. This is way too soon - for me anyway!  :P

One of the girls has been wingersizing like mad and just jumped up to the nestbox edge for a second or two before jumping down.  Yikes!

Just so folks know, I have submitted names for the Radisson chicks to CBC but I haven't heard back.

Since we have two females here...I just happen to have a couple of female names that might work...just saying  ::)

Excellent timing Dennis  :P  Contest to vote on names for the Radisson chicks is up and running - VOTE HERE

The Radisson sisters are awfully cute, standing together on the balcony and looking out. Oops! One just had a brief wingercizing session. I still think they will miss each other when they part in the fall.  :(

Haaa!!! Up close & personal again, with one of the girls showing off her plumage, pressed right against the camera lens! LOL! ;D

The girls have spent a lot of time inside the nestbox today - might be the sun or the novelty of outdoors is starting to wane.  Or maybe a growth spurt.  Who know, lots of napping today though.  Maybe as it gets a bit later and the sun is less full blast on the box they will come out and do some sightseeing from the balcony like they did yesterday.

I've also offered to set up the vote if there is a problem or delay with them running it so hopefully it will be up soon either on the CBC site or somewhere on our site.

Nice interview on CBC radio (Up to Speed) this aft, TPC. Switched on my car radio while driving and there you were. :)

It was very last minute, initially they called to get information on the little American Kestrel that the host had come across on his way to work.  They asked if I would come on to talk about the kestrel and give an update on the peregrines.  Cute kestrel - pic.twitter.com/5UbLNPtdOB

That baby fluffiness is very quickly disappearing and being replaced by darker big-girl feathers.

I also notice big-girl voices!

I've noticed that as well, burdi, although they're still sounding like demanding kids...just older, demanding kids ;)

I've set up the Fledgewatch board for 2014.

For those of you who plan to participate in this year's fledgewatch and would like to "meet" up with others, send me a PM with your name and I will add you to the fledgewatch board.

Because this board will contain information that is more personal (who's meeting who and when and where) than should be on a public forum, this board is "private" and will only be accessible to members who wish to coordinate schedules.

Any observations during fledging will be posted on the regular nestsite boards.  If any observations are posted here by mistake they will automatically be moved to the correct board so that everyone may share.

Any questions, send me a PM.
Thanks!

One of the chicks is giving us a close-up of her excellent preening job.  ...

I was watching around that time last evening, too. The other chick moved from the back of the box to lie down beside the sister who was preening. It is hard to believe that they will soon be flying off and living by themselves, and flying long distances alone, after being so close for so long and seeking companionship in the nest box.
