There's Vega flapping away on the ledge.  How many more days would she be expected to take than the males before fledging?

I guess we're lucky that CPF was at least able to get a cam on this nest, since it was in a presumably residential area.  We sure are spoiled with the close up views possible in the nest box cams!

That's the only think I don't like about the web cams..we can't see them when they fly!  I hope his flight was good too!  I can't seem to bring the cam up now but I"ll keep trying!

This pair of parents have had a rough time of it.  From what I could find out they used to be at the Four Sisters (4 smoke stacks) which was an old power plant iin Etobicoke and after they left last year for the season it was demolished.  So when they came back their regular home was gone forever.  I guess they wanted to stay in the territory and ended up on this private residence - I'm just guessing it's in the area, the actual location is being kept private to protect the residents privacy.

Hopefully next year they can find a home that is more 'pergrine friendly'.

Mascota second flight must have been successful if both parents were on hand as the site report suggests.  Wouldn't that have been a sight to see!

Eagle, your word for them is nicer than mine  :D :D !  8:34 and Vega is on the ledge, I just witnessed him doing the bat thing - he climbed the wall for a bit and flew to the ledge edge, thought for sure he was going to go for it!!

Forecase calling for rain (gee there's a surprise!) all day but just cloudy at the moment, T-storms expected tonight so hopefully they'll all be in a dry area.  Mom was just in with food and she was separating it to go distribute between the other 2 no doubt.

The report is up now, second fledge was successful!  I'll let you read the report, my only comment is there are times when the human race just astounds me with their insensitivity.

Lol..yes they turn off around 9ish as the birds won't fledge when it gets dark, .  That's why they will put the little one out on the roof tonight, he won't panic and try to fly off and hurt himself.

I know, I think I missed it too.  Went out on the balcony and came back and only one unless it's in the corner.  They should be posting report update soon as the cam will go offline any second now.

I hope he is safe!

I keep expecting even an accidental fledge, as he slips off the ledge in the midst of wild wing-flapping!

Awww..I like when they do the cuddle thing and peck each other.  They keep looking up, I wonder what's going on - flyby's or more intruders  ???

I am on my way home now..hopefully if he fledges while I'm enroute he has a safe flight  :)
