Yes Alison, the report on the failure to hatch eggs was a very interesting read.

The two eggs which did not hatch were collected and analyzed. This is rarely done, and I found the report very interesting.

The blog also has many beautiful photos of the fledglings/juvies.

The two chicks grew up and fledged successfully. I have seen both of them a number of times since they fledged.

Mom was at the nest box early this morning:

She stayed on the perch for some time, and then moved into the nest box to rest in the sun for a little while.

Four eggs have been incubated at the Sheffield nest, and the first chick hatched this morning.

Haven't seen the chick yet, but there is a good photo of the chick on the website.

This year, a second webcam was added, providing an exterior view of the nest and a panoramic view of the area. I have on occasion seen a peregrine flying in the distance, or perched near the nest.

Mom incubating yesterday (left) and Dad (right). Quite a size difference; they are both beautiful birds.
